Writing isn’t easy for a lot of people like you and me. In the past, the no. of writing softwares have increased. You can find software that can write for you, suggest a better vocabulary and even find plagiarism in an essay. According to me, we shouldn’t use these softwares in the everyday life. Let’s Discuss…
Writing is exciting for some people. But for others, it may seem to be so boring and frustrating. Essay writing is of keen importance in the life of every person. It is required to get into Harvard, get a job, express your thoughts and even make a proposal for your better half.
Now, everyone wants to have great writing skills. But remember it is a skill. The skills can only be made great by practising regularly. If you have to gain a skill, you have to work on making it better without any support.
Now, let’s say you started using Grammarly. With time, it becomes a regular habit to use it. You are addicted to the writing softwares. You are now dependent on Grammarly to rectify your errors. Your habits of making errors become permanent. Now, it’s hard to improve those mistakes.
Grammarly is designed to write in active voice only. This will always show you an error when you will write in a passive voice. The restrictions aren’t having any place in the writing world.
Grammarly’s algorithm makes it the best among the proofreading and plagiarism softwares. The problem isn’t that it will make your writing more effective and beautiful. But rather it will make you more dependent on the software to make your writing better. It’s not you who has improved your writing. It’s Grammarly that has improved your writing.
For skill, you should be self-dependent. The use of this shouldn’t be compared to using Adobe softwares by a Graphic Designer. Adobe softwares are like writing on Notepad.
A more alarming situation for the newer generation! Grammarly was an editing software but you had to write on your own. Now, with the use of AI, more softwares have come into existence that can write the complete essay or required content according to the need. They are even more dangerous because they will stop the need to write for the students. The next generation needn’t write.
Yet the quality is poor in their writing. But as I already mentioned they are AI-based. You must be familiar with the AI as the applications can improve themselves with time. The more they are used the better will be the quality of their writing. AI software will learn by sharing the experience with other computers. On the opposite, a person will learn by doing. He/she isn’t having the ability to share their learning and experience with other humans without doing that work. Every person must have to invest their time individually to get better at writing.
Should you cancel your AI-enhanced writing tool subscription after reading this article. I would say to stop🛑 and look at them. Identify the mistakes that you make regularly. Check out the different software and different mistakes that you make. Go out and try to improve your mistakes.
